What is Royalty-Free music? |
| A: |
Royalty free music is the easiest and most affordable method of using copyrighted music in any audio/visual application. You pay for a lifetime license to use the music freely with few conditions. See our License agreement...
Royalty free uses include music for film and television, Video/DVD, web design, games, Flash, Powerpoint, music on hold and many other multimedia applications. If your presentation containing our music is broadcast (radio, film, television, cable), you must report music usage information to your performing rights organization (ASCAP, BMI, PRS... more). You must fill out a cue sheet. You can use our online cue sheet or use your own method if you are familiar with this process. You can send your completed cue sheet to us so we can forward it to the appropriate organisation. See our cue sheet help page. |

| Q: |
What is a music cue sheet? |
| A: |
A music cue sheet contains details of all audio that has been used in a production/broadcast. The cue sheet must contain the title, composer(s), publisher(s) and the duration of every item of audio contained within the production. Multiple uses of the same audio must be detailed separately.
Here is a blank cue sheet for you to use. You will find more info and links on our cue sheet help page. |

| Q: |
When should I complete a music cue sheet? |
| A: |
A music cue sheet is required when the audio contained within a production is broadcast or publicly performed. If you are the media producer, you are not usually obliged to fill out a cue sheet. This is the responsibility of the broadcaster/production company.
When completing a cue sheet, you must include composer and track info included with your download. |

How do I purchase a sound file? |
| A: |
After browsing the sound file previews and making your choice, you will be directed to our shopping cart system where you need to follow these steps...
- You must use a valid e-mail address so you can retrieve your chosen files and must not use bogus address information as the credit card authorization process will require accurate data to complete the transaction. Once you have purchased your chosen sound files you will receive a receipt from our payment processor and a confirmation e-mail containing a download key from our system.
- The download key is a unique encripted URL to your chosen files.
- Click the URL
- The file will begin to download from our servers and will arrive in .ZIP format. This is to allow a compressed file size and therefore faster download time. Use Winzip or similar compression applications to extract the .WAV file(s).
For security reasons this link will expire once retrieved or within 48 hours. You can request to renew your download by contacting us. |
